Indrani would love to share some of her meditations with you. Her desire is to assist you in beginning a meditation practice, if you do not have one. If you have a meditation practice, these weekly meditations will help you to work on living a brighter life.
Today’s 12-minute meditation is about sitting with someone who is very wise. Is this person Nelson Mandela? Mother Teresa? Buddha? Jesus? Maybe it’s a close friend whom you admire, and consider them very wise. Indrani will help you breathe in the wisdom this wise person has to offer you. You can breathe in compassion, forgiveness, future thinking, or maybe a big dream of changing the world. You will come to see that the wisdom from this person does not just belong to them …. it belongs to YOU.

Today’s meditation is called, “Being Present.” This is a meditation that will enable you to be present with whatever comes up. Are you experiencing feelings that are stopping you in your tracks?
Indrani wants you to just NOTICE and be aware of your emotions and behavior, without judgment. This can help you be PROactive in your life, and not REactive. This is only a 3-minute meditation to get you present with your current emotions….. try it. It’s only 3 minutes.

One Sunday night, I was watching the Mentalist on TV (LOVE that show) and one of the male detectives asked his male partner if he should get married.
The partner simple said, “You want it to be my call?”
Simply Brilliant Writing!
How often though do we ask others about some of the MOST important decisions in our lives?
We PRETEND that others have more wisdom about our own selves than we do.
YES… PRETEND.
It has to be a pretense because YOU are your own expert.
The trick to accessing your wisdom is to be silent and to ask yourself a simple question about the “thing” you are trying to evaluate.
Let’s do an example:
Let’s say you have met someone and want to know if you should go on a date. Instead of calling up all your friends who HAVE NOT MET this person, sit in silence and look for signs in your body of serenity and peacefulness and YES, excitement.
Not an anxious excitement, but a buzzing and soft excitement that alerts you to something sweet about to happen.
In order to access these messages you will have to practice with everyday decisions and get fluent in understanding your own body and the way it talks to you.
It will help to do meditation on a fairly regular basis and you will learn how to “read” your body.
Here is a short meditation to help get you started.
Love and light,
Indrani
What happens to ME when I get sick from doing too much for YOU?
What happens to YOU when I can no longer hold you in my heart with love and respect because I am tired of your pain?
What happens to MY PAIN when I cannot find a way to see through your pain and into your soul?
What happens to all of us when we begin to shut down our hearts and rely on formulaic “fixes”?
These are very important questions if you are in the healing worlds of:
Mothering
Fathering
Sistering
Brothering
Coaching
Counseling
Ministering
Wife-ing
Husband-ing
You must have a place to go that is safe…a place where you will NOT be judged for being tired of caring or care taking.
A place where it’s okay to say “I am tired, I am sick AND tired.”
You are human. Humans get tired.
Fatigue does not last forever. When you are fatigued you need rest. You need physical rest, mental rest and emotional rest.
Allowing yourself to rest will give you a chance to be clear. Clarity is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself.
Here are a few things that may help on a weekly or monthly basis:
A massage- There are many massage schools that charge very little so their students can practice.
A support group- find one where members have issues in common with yours. You will see that you are not alone. If you have an addiction, then try a 12 step group.
Read this blog by Kay Walten to see how much healing she is receiving from the 12 step group she stumbled into.
A yoga or meditation class- Many studios offer scholarship money for needy students. Ask and you probably will receive.
Plan a Gratitude party for your friends- Tell them who is coming and ask them to write an anonymous note to each person and focus on that person’s greatness. Ask each person to bring a small dish to share. Do not overindulge in alcohol, it dulls the senses.
Beware of compassion fatigue. It makes the sanest among us crazy…and when the brain is crazy you are not your best self.
Love and light,
Indrani
